The bottle cap is the main accessory of the cosmetic container. It is the main content dispenser tool in addition to the lotion pump and spray pump. It is widely used in cream bottles, shampoos, shower gels, hoses and other products. The bottle cap is one of the main content dispensers of the cosmetic container, and its main function is to protect the content from external factors, to facilitate the opening of the consumer, and to convey the corporate brand and product information. A standard cap product must have compatibility, tightness, rigidity, easy opening, resealability, versatility, and decorative features.

1. Molding process

The main materials of cosmetic caps are mainly plastics, such as PP, PE, PS, ABS, etc., and their molding methods are relatively simple, mainly by injection molding.

2, surface treatment

The surface treatment of the bottle cap can be various, and the surface treatment of the product can be performed by an oxidation process, a vacuum plating process, a spray process, and the like.

3, graphic processing

The surface of the bottle cap is printed in various ways, such as hot stamping, silk screen printing, pad printing, thermal transfer, and water transfer printing.

Sealing is the basic function of the cap. Set a perfect physical barrier to the position of the bottle mouth where a leak (gas or liquid content) or intrusion (air, water vapor or impurities in the external environment) is required to be sealed. In order to achieve this, the liner must be sufficiently flexible to fill any irregularities on the sealing surface while maintaining sufficient rigidity to prevent penetration into the surface gap under sealing pressure. Both elasticity and rigidity must be consistent.

In order to obtain a good sealing effect, the inner liner pressed against the sealing surface of the bottle mouth must maintain a sufficient work pressure during the shelf life of the package. Within a reasonable range, the higher the pressure, the better the sealing effect. However, it is obvious that when the pressure is increased to a certain extent, it may cause cracking or deformation of the cap, breakage of the glass bottle mouth or deformation of the plastic container and destruction of the inner liner, so that the seal itself fails.

The sealing pressure ensures good contact between the liner and the sealing surface of the bottle. The larger the sealing area of the bottle mouth, the larger the area distribution of the load applied by the cap, and the worse the sealing effect under a certain torque. Therefore, in order to obtain a good seal, it is not necessary to use an excessively high fixing torque, and the width of the sealing surface should be as small as possible without damaging the inner liner and its surface. That is to say, if the small fixed torque is to achieve the maximum effective sealing pressure, a narrow sealing ring should be used.
